What is the answer to Racism and so many other social challenges existent on planet Earth at this time? The answer, as you may have intuited is LOVE. Why is the answer LOVE? These social challenges are all present due at core
to fear. A fear ultimately derived from not knowing ones true self, which is love personalized unto each individual. So, as John Lennon said, "LOVE is the answer". Now that seems intuitively obvious and you would think that it has been
tried before. Well, it has been tried before. It has even been successful here and there in removing social challenges. One such occurrence was
with the so-called "flower children" of the mid to late sixties.
Their generation became known as the love generation. Now lest you think that I'm trying to bring the hippie or psychedelic era back let me say flatly that this is not so. We are in a new time. One all it's own. Yes, the flower children of those days in the Summers of Love
did have some great ideas and put them into action
to the people's benefit. Some of those elements and values for instance are in use today in our society and so, that they are included here simply means that in my and likely your experience they "work" and are part of the solution to racism and more. A few more words about this important era before we move on.
The mid to late 60's "scene" in the bay area was for many a cultural utopia. One which brought about new ideas, ideals, behaviors, and even styles of fashion to most major
cities in the U.S., Canada, Britain, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan as the youth later upon leaving the bay area, made their way back to their home states and country's.
The San Francisco Oracle, a paper of the time made an announcement about a "Be-in". In it they said that "...a revolution can be formed with a renaissance of compassion, awareness, and love, and the revelation of unity for all
mankind." Bob Weir of the group The Grateful Dead had this to say about this crucial time in and around 1967: "It was about exploration, finding new ways of expression, being aware of one's existence."
This liberation and unfolding of the peoples consciousness gave them the self-empowerment
to speak out against pollution causing industry and lifestyles, political corruption, archaic moral servitude, racism, sexism, child abuse, and war. These people cooperated
and opened up a Free Clinic (still open today) for medical treatment, and a Free Store that gave away basic necessities (free food etc) to anyone who needed it. People at this time opened themselves up even to
the indigenous peoples and their wisdom. This era promoted freedom, freedom of religion, speech, and self-expression. Essentially they took on a more expansive view of life. Love was given out as freely as the drugs, with which
the people would explore their own inner being. Excepting for the drugs, all of these qualities and values will help make racism today, disappear.Ok then, if love is the answer, and it has been used before, sometimes successfully, why then haven't we taken what we've learned from those wins and enlarged upon them to
disappear the rest of our challenges? My answer is that we have been distracted from the answer number one and for number two
we have stopped constantly creating Love itself in favor
of fear.
How can I say that? Do you see us responding to Iran with love? Fear is what we (Americans generally speaking) bring to our life situations. Fears of being being harmed by another, of not being accepted, and of not being deserving of love. Fear of being successful or unsuccessful. Fear of enemies, Fear of vulnerability, Fear of abuse, Fear of loss for several examples.
Love it turns out NEEDS to be ongoingly generated/created. This is key so, I ask you to consider
that sentence at length. When we stop creating love, we (again generally speaking) fill the vacuum with fearful thoughts, feelings and all the "stuff" that goes with such a fearful reality, things like
insecurity, anger, violence and war. It's not that love is not strong enough, it is. It's simply that
we've stopped Being committed to creating love, period. One can demonstrate against an injustice, for instance our invading a
sovereign nation and not lose our focus on creating/generating love. The trick is to not be distracted from our context of love.
[This is why non-violence with an attitude/really intent of love often works] When we stop creating love, there is room for fear to grow. Drama and issues are being used by others with agendas (of power and control) to divide
us up. To divert our attention from our impulses for unity and cooperation. They want us argue and fight over what view is right and what one is wrong. We get support in being petty and not responsible
for our reality. We are indoctrinated into believing in the notion of victims, taught that we are here by chance and that it's about survival of the fittest here. Beware
of these and other tactics used to distract us from who we really are; LOVE. It is the Power of Love that is the gift that we human beings are. This IS our strength. How are we at The ONE Project going to jump start the human race back onto the track of consciously generating love? Well, this is the key isn't it? The ongoing generation of love rather than fear. We accomplish this through #1 the raising of consciousness to that of the vibration of love
and #2
we provide workshops, events and campaigns specifically designed to promote the raising of consciousness and provide actions, things to do (events) and relationships to enjoy that support the love and the many qualities of it that we are proactively growing. These,
applied over time serve to kick-start the love engine inside each of us such that it then becomes (over time) again ingrained in us. It becomes our natural intent. Ultimately the vibration of an area or town will change to that of love rather than fear.
What about the trouble-makers, the insensitives? They will enter into love or leave our space. We wil support them in becoming sensitive and broad minded. They cannot maintain for long, their so-called negative stance while in the positive atmosphere we have created. Their words and actions will not get them the fearful reactions from us that they have come to expect and since they are no longer able to "push our buttons" anymore they
will fade out. Here is one way to look at it. If say, you are a "rock n roller" music wise and your town should grow into one big country music area instead of the mixed bag it is musically now, you are going to end up
either embracing country music also or rather than live in a space whose vibes you don't like you will move to another town or area where your rocker vibrations are welcomed and you feel more at home. Here is what will happen in a town. The insensitives are going to come back into the fold, into
love OR, they will move on and go some place where their fear based lifestyle is still appreciated and supported. As people take their cities and towns back from...fear essentially, and join together their peoples and intent, the physical space available for people to feel Free
To Be in, will enlarge with the result that the insensitives will either over time leave the area entirely or come to join in with the love being offered around the towns which hafe now become centers of light and
Spirit. While it may seem that things humankind is lowering itself more and more each day it IS says I and many others across this world ascending or rising overall. So, even those spaces where the holdouts reside will
eventually disappear too. Their energies not be enough to keep them from withering away. We are going to have to learn to embrace (appropiately) the insensitives in our lives. We
will find ultimately that they are us, just in another position. See, in the context of love it is a You Are Me
world not a You OR Me one. In other words we identify with the other as if we were walking in their shoes. These insensitives are our brethren, our brothers and sisters, our
children who need our support in coming back to love. Now their antics may test our spirits resolve when it comes to love but that is all to the good for we are here to grow. It has been that it's always "them" out
there causing trouble. Now it is ourselves over there. Our new context gives us a whole new perspective as we interact with our brothers and sisters. Coming to each with the context of love.
We don't punish ourselves over there. That is unworkable.
Instead we work with them to regain their clarity of self, learn their lessons, have their healings and achieve balance. We support them
in being whole and balanced so that they need not be "off kilter", making mischief and trouble. There
is a concept I wish to share with you. I came upon it in the books by Carlos Castenada. It is called the "Petty Tyrant". These are people we have
in our lives to temper our spirit. We are having them train us. Trimming down our own egos so that we might behave rightly with our insensitive bretheren. They make us stronger even while it seems or feels as though they are tearing us apart. There are small petty tyrants that are just annoying to us and there are more dangerous ones that seem to take us to the brink of insanity if not to death.
The bigger the tyrant, and the more power they seem to have over us, the greater the lesson and the potential power we can come out of these
experiences with. [think Dick Cheney. He is a big one, serving all of us in waking up and taking back responsibility for our
lives and government with its actions across the globe.] The trick is to get beyond experiencing oneself as the victim of this person or organization. The key to the trick is knowing
that they are our creation, that they are for us to learn our lessons by. Petty tyrants teach us among other things, to stop being at effect of things and people and to act pro-actively in our life. What happens when we generate love, ongoingly? A new context
comes forth. One in which it is ourselves who are the ones responsible for our experience of our world. What happens is that the world, and the people on it, start coming together, as ONE. We stop caring or even noticing what color someone is. We stop seeing other
races whether terrestrial or extra-terrestrial as threats to our own security as we now generate our own security as a natural consequence of the love context. People start coming together to work cooperatively rather than competitively. Money stops being the great god we worship and seek out, now it is self-realization and our
relationships with others that's "where it's at" for us. So, the new context, love, brings us to the bigger picture of what we are to be in BEING here. We are then, going to be about re-uniting the human family. Love unites. It breaks down the divisions we have created or gone along with. It is time again to
focus on what we have in common, this unites, and
a united humanity is the real prize that awaits us through this love context. ONE Divine Light is not political in it's aims. Nor are we backing or condoning any religious practice. We go beyond these to the core values of humans. We are going to bring in the depth
that our society and media are not. We are going beyond capitalism and material things, we are going beyond "entertainment", sports etc. here. We are going to show just what positiveness humans are capable
of. The ONE you see, is about beingness, not thingness
. The race will redeem itself now. How do we go about generating this new context amongst the people? We start off on the
individual level for people have to love themselves first before they can give real love out to others so, Self Love is key
#1. We provide seminars, workshops and events that bring that into focus for them. Once self-love is set within them as a foundation then we can pump up the volume so-to-speak. Broaden their horizons as to
possibilities in life, expose them to other cultures with their possibilities. Have them learn about various spiritual (not religious) perspectives too. We are looking for the people of a community to become as those folk who listen for instance to "World Music". How so? World Music comes from all over the world. Its influences are myriad and the mixture embues it with qualities of understanding acceptance and openness and oneness.
The point is to not limit ourselves by being only about one genre of music. All great musicians come to exploring and appreciating if not actually playing music of other genres. They travel generally and so their experiences are broad and not just local. They play with and cooperate with musicians from other genres. Carlos Santana being a major role model in this. Reaching across borders, meeting the unfamiliar and creating beneficial relationships. Similarly, we as people are going to take a similar journey, one way or another for there is no other direction than to grow.
Associating ourselves strictly only
with one school of thought, say science or, with only one religion will not have us realizing our brotherhood and interdependence upon one another, the greater family
of mankind. Furthermore it will not bring us peace and love. We must then, come together as ONE people, the human race, recognizing that we are
all made by and a rich part of, All That Is. We ARE all a part of the ONE divine light. Listen, in
our communities we are going to have to address ideas like forgiveness, punishment, ethics, integrity, being a creator and not a victim and much more. People will have to be taught communications skills (
including how to figuratively disarm an insensitive from being in hate or attack mode). Many folk have too little self-esteem, we need to build up the peoples ability to love
(for among other reasons) so that they can withstand being around the "insensitives" and what comes along with them. We will also have many other personal growth
trainings on various subjects; ethics, values, breaking up routine, expanding ones awareness and use of our senses (the common and the psychic), group dynamics, altruism, and self-importance. Giving them tools, training and experience in their use while
broadening their range of concepts and ideas. The answer at core is a personal inner stance, "stand" or context.
This ultimately is expressed en-masse at a public/community level. The name of this project is One Divine Light. It is to become a personal declaration, beyond religion which affirms that: I AM A PART OF
THE ONE DIVINE LIGHT. That WE ARE ALL
, OF THE ONE DIVINE LIGHT. We are already able to generate ongoingly a loving reality of the sort we are intent upon relative to racism. We love our kids no matter how many mistakes in judgment they make. We continue to generate for ourselves and them unconditional love. We can BE this way with others too,
whether they are red or yellow skinned humans, or ET's. We need to keep asking ourselves "What
would Love's answer be to this or that challenge Be?" How would love respond most appropriately to this? Love will positively transform any
and all of our errant notions of personal honor and self-importance, family and community. We need to
remove the present issues from the table
and address them covertly through not-doings
(variations on or counter to the norm). For the most part we need to NOT entertain the issues (such as racism) at all. Just as with how some people have been around violence, and yet in the face of it they continue to BE non-violent (a not-doing) rather than doing what most may, and Be violent themselves.
Take away the issues, divide and conquer those. Expand the
insensitives challenge so much; broaden them so much that racism is no longer an issue for them. Now this is something we all can make use of ourselves with our own issues. To take away issues, we have to replace them
with other priorities, something else to focus on. The replacement issues then become the ones common or fundamental to all (our core
ideals and values as humans) and these will be fundamental parts of all the events ONE will make use of.
We have to identify and remove those
labels from ourselves that have divided us. The folks doing the most dividing are the politicos. Starts with the basics, having to choose republican or democrat. Pro-choice or pro-life. Pro second amendment or
anti-gun. Are you a raider fan or a 49er fan. Are you a U.S. Citizen or an alien? We need to get that who we are is not those labels we and
others attach to us.
We need to bring in every sub-community that it is workable so that everyone can get that this is their challenge too.
The opportunities in Selma are NOT just between the blacks and the whites. It is about all of us.
Other ethnic races need to come into the area so that they can then say and show in effect that, "I hear you brother, I'm with you." [Both my
brothers triumphs and his failings or challenges, are my own] This is a you ARE me world. This is one country and one people! Get those white folk from the western states to come over
too. Even if these are temporary stays, they still make the statement and that makes for the insensitives becoming less interested in our towns of light, our space. While I preferred initially to put this site up
after I had finished the research for this project I have of late (March of 2008) chosen to put it up on the internet anyways so as to get some conversations at least started. So, this website and project is a work in
progress. Even so, taking the first steps now will bring about a lot of value and not just for myself that would not be there otherwise. And now I formally set this project upon the vast oceean of the internet for any
aware individuals, organizations, or businesses to discover and join in with. I personally invite you to participate with me in this project.
We have to come together as one people now, more than ever. If you believe this too, please be in touch with me. Let us join hands in partnership in ways such that we create forward motion with this aim of One Family and one People, all of whom are a part of the
ONE Divine Light. Thank you for taking the time to read about this important topic of ending Racism. If you have anything to say to me, a comment, suggestion, compliment or
